Beach parties are great. We all love them. But there are so many kind of beach parties that we could easily get lost in them. There’s the formal beach party, where everyone dresses up for cocktails and all kinds of fancy stuff. Start by developing your own style. Sit down and write down all the things you like in the world of fashion. Your favorite colors and your favorite patterns are some of the things you can write down. You are now ready to start your own fashion trends.

You do not have to be a fashion designer to come up with great fashion ideas. You just need a decent fashion sense about what does and does not look good. Once you have your wardrobe pared down to the essential items, start shopping for new clothes. You can find great deals in discount stores and thrift stores. What you want to buy are pieces that you can put together to create a new outfit. Instead of following the lead of the runway models and celebrities, you will create your own fashions.

*Chanel is designing looks that would suit royalty. These fab fashions are made with an array of textiles, jewelling and metallics. Intricate does not begin to describe some of the looks appearing on Chanel runways as of late.
*Versace is prepping to release their new fragrance called Vanitas with model Lindsey Wixson as the featured face. Vanitas is described as a fresh and bright, yet woodsy, scent with a slight floral hint.
*Stella McCartney’s ready-to-wear line is full of business casual attire with a hint of early 1980′s. Mrs. Roper would be sincerely proud.
*Karl Lagerfeld is sporting an entire line of mini dresses (see collection SS-10) that would make even a rock star cry. These LBD’s are Hot! Hot! Hot!
* For those outfitting the smaller fashionistas, check out Little Marc Jacobs FW 10 for adorable prints hemmed with ruffles and lace.
*Valentino’s SS11 men’s collection is also emulating the late 70′s/early 80′s threads. Think a cross between Hugh Hefner comfy-wear meets Tom Cruise in Top Gun.
*Gucchi is presenting a line that crosses Amazonian flash with cruise ship fab. Nudes and contrasting jewel tones seem to dominate the line.
*Betsey Johnson is another designer that is channeling the 80′s neon, cheetah prints, puff skirts and tiered ruffles are just begging to be worn. Havent we all missed these looks? It is time for the return!
*Fendi’s SS11 line is showing light, bright and everything in between with colorful striped wrap skirts and gorgeous asymmetrical lines.
*Florals, stripes, polka dots and bird prints? Kate Spade’s new line covers all the bases.

Celebrity Dresses–What They Are Wearing Now

2010 saw many different dress styles on some of our favorite red carpet celebrities. Some stars sported dresses with shining lights while others took a minimalist approach with simple lines and solid colors.
-Katy Perry was seen wearing a bright white ballgown-style dress made with glowing LED lights during the Met Costume Gala which took place in May, 2010.
-The Academy Awards were graced with the gorgeous Rachel McAdams, who appeared wearing a floaty gown with shades of pale peach, aqua, shades of sage and slight splashes of brilliant yellow.
-In December of 2010, Angelina Jolie appeared wearing Versace at the premier of The Tourist. The knee length black velvet dress featured attached gloves reaching from fingertips to upper arms.
-Metallic tones played off of the festive number worn by Emmy Rossum at Showtime’s Holiday Soiree. The pocketed golden dress shimmered and shined on the petite actress.
-Halle Berry took black to an entirely new level with slim and sensual floor length garb from Dolce & Gabbana. This strapless dress had a fitted bodice and beautiful draping.
-Natalie Portman wore a plum colored mini-dress to the Venice Film festival in September of 2010. Also a strapless number, this simple dress graced Portman’s tanned and toned figure no effort required.
-Naomi Watts wore a dress in silver and sequins to the premier of Salt. This Gucci dress was simple, but stunning.
2011 holds many promises for our best-dressed stars. Cotton-candy hues are expected to show up on the red carpet. Neutrals are popping back into the scene; earth tones always create a great look. Also be on the watch for 80′s inspired looks. Tiers, ruffles, lace, sheer pieces maybe even a touch of punk will all be seen at the year’s hottest events. Expect to see dresses in every length, from super mini to ball gowns with trains.

One aspect of Rihanna’s fashion that is very obvious is her sudden love for skimpy and very erotic outfits like the type she wore in the video of So Hard. Another thing with Rihanna is the fact that she is also quite fond of macabre make-ups and masks, some of which make her look really wild. However, this is a trend and phenomenon that is quite common among celebrities of today.

In addition, the most spectacular fashion trend that Rihanna has been associated with so far is her legendary body tattoos. Although as hold as civilization itself and used by various ancient cultures, tattoos are staging a very strong comeback, thanks to celebrities like Rihanna who popularize this fashion fad. If there is an award for body tattooing, Rihanna will surely win a Grammy. The singer has so many tattoos on various parts of body. These tattoos are of various shapes, sizes and designs. One is a line of stars running down her back from her nape.

The Rules of Fashion

In a world that is as structured as ours, acceptance in the society is a very important thing. This is especially true for those that have to interact regularly in the society or mingle with the high and mighty. In such social settings, you ignore the rigid rules of fashion at your own risk. To be acceptable in many cultures and societies across the globe, you must adhere to the stipulated rules of fashion.

However, this is not to say that you cannot define fashion in your own way or even invent new styles, you must be ready for a resounding success or blinding rejection. But never mind if your design was thrown into the bin, in some years to come, it will be the latest fad. That is how it is in the world of fashion.

But in a case where you are not ready to write your own rules of fashion, then it will be wiser and safer in some instances for you to obey the current rules of fashion. For example, you will observe that in most church weddings, the bride is always wearing a flowing white bridal gown while the groom is always handsome in his black suit. If you decide to go against this established rule of fashion by wearing a green suit and your lovely bride going for a yellow gown, you will have succeeded in not only making yourself a laughing stock for years to come but also offending the sight of your guests.

This is simply because of the rigid nature of the rules of fashion and the guidelines that have been put in place. For you to be acceptable in a society and also look ‘agreeable’, you must follow the time-honored rules of fashion. If you are a politician and you decide to be too casual in your dressing, you may as well kiss your post bye.

Right from the dawn of humanity, entertainment and fashion have always been an integral part of existence, although in different forms and stages. In the 21st century, little has changed, as entertainment and fashion are still very important in the life of the modern man. As a matter of fact, these two sectors happen to be some of the largest and the most profitable ventures on the planet.

If you are still skeptical about these, then it is important for you to consider the billions of dollars raked in by the American film industry symbolized by the hugely popular Hollywood. This is not to talk of the billions made as profit by the fashion houses of Gucci, Versace, Armani, Tommy Hilfiger, Playboy and many others. Surely, these areas are really lucrative for those that really understand the techiques and complexities. It must be mentioned that like all businesses, dabbling into the entertainment and fashion industries is also laced with numerous challenges and obstacles.

If you are quite observant, it is easy to see that entertainment and fashion are like conjoined twins. They are intricately intertwined and dependent on other. Perhaps, this is due to the fact that for fashion to be widely accepted as the latest and reigning fad in the society, it must be entertaining. The same thing applies to the entertainment industry. If you are to succeed as an actor or musician or any other form of entertainer, you have to be fashionable, at least in relative terms.

Therefore, it should not come as a surprise to see that quite a number of the famous entertainment celebrities are also fashion icons. This will bring to mind the likes of Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor, Queen Latifah, Lil Wayne, Chamillionaire, Tupac and so many others that are just too numerous to mention. This trend is bound to continue, at least into the nearest future.
