There are fashion no-no’s all around us, some of them are contingent on the certain person that is wearing them but there are several basic rules that everyone should obey when it comes to fashion. Most fashion rules are flexible and meant to be broken sometimes, like the fact that wearing white after Labor Day can be great, but certain rules are good guidelines for everyone in every situation.
Don’t go overboard with prints. Prints can be fun and you shouldn’t be afraid to go bold or mix prints but going completely overboard is a big fashion mistake. Enjoy wearing prints by following these rules. Always pair a print with a neutral. You can be creative with choosing a neutral in your outfit, it can be in a jacket or a pant or even a large accessory like a purse. Using a neutral will help offset the boldness of the print. If you’re wearing a dress that is completely, one print, choose a shorter dress that shows a little skin so you won’t be covered head to toe in the same pattern.
Don’t wear clothes that don’t fit. This may seem a simple enough rule that everyone already knows but there are plenty of people that don’t follow it. It can be fun to play with sizes of things, there can be a slightly baggy sweater that can look flattering with leggings but don’t go to extremes. Clothes that don’t fit don’t look good. You can go a little tighter or a little baggier when necessary but always wear clothing that fits your body type. Wearing clothes that are too tight or too baggy always end up making you look larger than you actually are and no one wants that. Have fun with fashion but don’t commit these fashion mistakes.
